Retro
yesterday, I wrote about MicroRetro. Now, I think I should add that the continuing interest in comfort food--usually the food of one's childhood--whether that be American or Chinese is basically retro food. I wonder which of today's foods or trends will beome the retro of the future. Ideas?

Sushi, maybe? Or things that we (I) already consider retro but may have "new" connotations to some, like homemade gourmet ice cream?
Of course, I live in the SF area, so my comfort foods are most likely far removed from the preferences of a large segment of the population...
I'd love to know what is different in SF. Do tell. We can chat. I am sure others would like to know as well. Best Barbara
