Now Just not red meat
The nomenclature problem got worse. A guest would eat vegetables, fish, chicken and pork--just not red meat. She probably falls under Paul's category of picky eaters. I still am craving a name for the veggies plus fish. If frogs legs are included it rules out the legless idea.
wikipedia has the history! I knew it as pescovegetarian, but their main entry is under pascetarian, which I suppose trips more rollingly off the tongue. It seems to be gaining traction: Wiki says that the term entered Merriam-Webster's Collegiate this summer.
I am a food writer of professional standing, the winner of the James Beard Life Time Award and many awards for books. In the past I have been a restaurant consultant. Books: Vegetable Love, Roasting a Simple Art, Soup A Way of Life, Microwave Gourmet, Party Food and several more. Writer of articles for many years for the New York Time, Vogue and gourmet...more recently for foodd magazines
