Intolerant Gourmet

All 550 pages have been turned in and copy edited and reviewed by me. It is my fond hope that it will someday see the reader.
Unless there are still more ueries from the publisher, I should now be able to blog.
First though I must thank my editor of almost thirty years--now publisher of Artisan books--for her enduring help. I also thank Trent Duffy, the Managing Editor. He is a gem and proverbial patience.
It is interesting to me that the wide spread of the internet has made publishing less profitable. Even recipes which may be needed to cook from can be sought out and printed out.
Keep reading. This is not a comic book world even as comic books have turned into novels.

While it may be true that the internet has compromised cookbook publishing..you continue to produce, in esteemable fashion, books that I linger over and take to bed to read!

A great Philly fan

Dear Barbara,

I and many of my friends are impatiently pacing to get this latest one from you. And it's not just about the individual recipes -- it's knowing the body of work has a point-of-view and that its author has standards.

What would we do without our authors like you!? Be lesser for it and certainly not eat as well!...

All best, Kate

Many thanks, and hopingto meet you at your book signing!
